Playing music should enhance your life. It shouldn’t become another bullet point on a to-do list.

Martin Waters is a professional saxophone player from Leeds, UK. He studied BA Jazz Music (Hons) at Leeds Conservatoire and graduated in 2022. During his time at Leeds, he specialised in musical direction/conducting and saxophone education, and directed three Big Bands.

Since then, Martin has been based in Hamburg, Germany, and worked as a saxophone player, teacher, and Band Director. He has developed a passion for teaching students of all instruments whose lives have got in the way of regular study, and helping them to re-navigate the world of Jazz. Kids? Long hours? Shift patterns? The chaos will teach you valuable improvisation skills!

He also is a Music Tutor at Great British Music Camp, leading the Big Band session and encouraging young musicians to embrace improvisation.

He offers regular/one-off saxophone lessons, as well as improvisation lessons and workshops for individual players of all instruments and for larger groups. For further information, please send an email or book a free consultation to find out more.
